The famous actor known to be the first to give life to James Bond died surrounded by his family and peacefully in his sleep, BBC reported.
The Scottish actor was part of other famous films such as “Marnie,” “Murder on the Orient Express,” “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” and “The Untouchables.” This last film made him win an Academy Award for best-supporting actor for his performance as Chicago cop Jim Malone.

Celebrities around the world expressed their condolences and admiration to the late actor. Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, James Bond producers, use the official James Bond 007 Twitter account to communicate how devastated they were with the news.
The daily mail revealed in an interview with Connery’s widow, Micheline Roquebrune’s, that the Oscar-winning star had dementia and took its toll on him. Connery and Micheline were married for 45 years. Micheline stood by his side until his last breath. The daily mail also reported that Connery will be cremated in the Bahamas, and a memorial service will be held at a later day.
